Role: Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead

What will you create and do?

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead to drive the design, scalability, and reliability of the cloud platform at Conversive (SMS Magic). This role blends hands-on cloud engineering expertise with DevOps practices and SRE principles, enabling teams to build and ship products faster, safer, and more efficiently.

You will be responsible for building and operating highly available, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, while leading platform-level decisions around automation, reliability, performance, and scalability. This role requires both deep technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide infrastructure strategy and execution.

What will qualify you for this role?

Essential:

Strong experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering
Deep expertise in AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and monitoring
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
Solid knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
Knowledge of distributed systems and high-availability architecture patterns
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and product teams
Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills

Desired Skills:

Experience managing large-scale SaaS platforms or distributed systems
Exposure to multi-region or multi-cloud architectures
Experience with cloud security practices, compliance frameworks, and governance models
Familiarity with databases, caching, and messaging systems (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Redshift, etc.)
AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect
Ability to drive developer productivity through automation and internal tooling

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure
Own the availability, reliability, and performance of production systems
Drive infrastructure architecture decisions aligned with business and engineering goals
Manage cloud environments across development, staging, and production
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, network segmentation, and secrets management
Ensure infrastructure complies with security and regulatory standards
Monitor and optimize cloud cost, utilization, and performance efficiency
Implement autoscaling strategies and resource optimization techniques
Improve developer productivity by building automation tools and internal platforms
Provide visibility into infrastructure usage, performance, and cost trends
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and reliable system design
